The best thing about the Ascot has to be the shearling lining that has made UGG® Australia into the world famous company that it is today. This is no gimmick. The Ascot is fully lined with Merino wool that wraps the feet in cozy comfort. The wool is quite thick so I recommend ordering a half size up from your normal size. For example, I normally wear a 10.5 but the 11 fits perfectly. The wool will mat down a bit over time and take the shape of the foot. This is nice and gives a truly custom feel. The second best feature of the Ascot from UGG® Australia is the rugged yet unobtrusive outsole. I love that this slipper because I can take the dog outside or run a quick errand without having to change out into a standard pair of footwear. The third feature that I want to bring to attention is the amazing build quality and materials used to build the Ascot Slippers. I have the China Tea leather style, which has a smooth leather upper in a deep brown. The leather is thick and grainy with rugged stitching. I suspect that this is the kind of house shoe that will last for many years and probably get better with age. The Ascot from UGG® Australia is also available in a sheepskin suede which is a bit softer and also very nice. The choice is simply a matter of preference.

We love the fact that this style features a low profile yet is still able to offer a substantial outsole that can easily handle use outside of the home.
