New in Town: Comparing the New Balance 847v3 and 847v4

New Balance has been one of our top-selling athletic brands at ShoeStores.com for a reason; they offer world-class comfort, tailored to the wants and needs of each customer. As for those in need of extra stability and support in their walking shoes, active men and women everywhere have fallen in love with the New Balance 847. This style is a motion control walking shoe featuring ROLLBAR technology, which is designed to reduce rear foot movement. It has a rigid posting system that prevents pronation and supination, which allows the foot to maintain a proper strike path, and even prevents knee and ankle problems.

While the 847v3 already had major improvements from its predecessor, New Balance has continued to build on greatness with 847v4. Though these “assembled in the USA” sneakers still have the same great ROLLBAR technology, lightweight durability, and comfort collar to prevent the heel from slipping, we are happy to present some exciting new features.

Previously, 847v3’s leather and mesh upper offered durability and stability. The new 847v4’s synthetic mesh construction offers the same durability, but an even more lightweight ride. With less leather also comes enhanced air flow and breathability. In addition, the new TPU insert in the 847v4 provides increased balance and stability.

As for the cushioning, the 847v4 has upgraded from ABZORB to a two-foam combination in the form of TRUFUSE, for a more responsive feel. Complete with a full rubber outsole for better traction outdoors than ever before, the 847v4 is the ideal shoe for all your day-to-day activities.
