New Balance Men's 1700 - Brown

Thanks to Margaret McGaffey Fisk for her review of these New Balance Men's 1700 walking shoes. I'm a woman looking for a comfortable, solid walking shoe that has to buy them in men's sizes and styles. My current pair of Dunham Midland Oxfords has lasted for four years, but I see on Amazon that these shoes are no longer being made by New Balance and have gone downhill in quality. Thanks to Margaret, I will try the 1700s!

I was told to get shoes with the rollbar technology by my doctor, but the ones I have been getting are mesh sneakers designed to keep you cool in the summer. Not great for the winter. I was happy to find these in a color I like as well (I'm a woman, but there's no brown for women). The shoes are nice looking and should be very comfortable once they're broken in. They fit snuggly at first, but it's to be expected in a leather shoe. I'll appreciate them all the more once the cold season comes back.
