UGG Classic II Short - Product Overview

Published by Brady Stout on Oct 28th 2016

The UGG™ Classic Short is a true classic boot.  The iconic boot swept the USA beginning in the year 2000 when Oprah featured the boot on Oprah's Favorite Things®.  Ever since then the UGG™ train has been steaming ahead and have become a staple to women's closets around the world.  When The Classic Short was discontinued and updated to the Classic II Short this Fall it has led many to wonder 'why?' and 'what's different?'

The Classic Short was the centerpiece of the UGG™ line of boots so the company made sure to get it right in the update.  The Classic II features the same 8" shaft height and silhouette as the original Classic Short so most will not notice a difference on first glance.  The boot still features twin face sheepskin and suede which are supple soft and will keep your feet cozy and warm whether you are wearing socks or going barefoot.

So, what's the difference?  Luckily, UGG™ listened to their customers and left the heart of the Classic unchanged and they only made a few tweaks to improve the shortcomings of the original boot.  The UGG™ Classic II Short features a pre-treated upper.  The style is water and stain resistant out of the box.  The Classic II Short is not fully waterproof and we don't reccomend wearing the style in rain or slush.  However, it is resistant and won't stain or get soaked from a splash.  The other major change from the Classic Short is a new Treadlite by UGG™ outsole.  The new outsole is more durable and noticeably more cushioned.

The bottom line is that if you love the UGG™ Classic Short then you are more than likely to love the new version even more.  It is not uncommon for shoe brands to update their popular products and change them for the worse.  We are happy to report that this is not the case here!
