Occasionally I find myself selling shoes at our Stout's Shoes stores in the Indianapolis, IN area. There are lots of styles to choose from when helping women find the perfect shoes to fit her needs. However, I find myself bringing out the Ecco Babett more than any other casual comfort shoe. Below I will explain why this style seems to garner positive feedback and work well from so many women.
Options
The Ecco Babett is available in sandals, lace ups, and Mary Jane iterations. Ecco knows that it's Babett footbed/outsole is out of this world comfortable so they have made it available in a variety of styles. The amazing thing about this is that all of the styles are able to accomodate orthotics (including the sandals), they are all super lightweight, and they all feature ample support. The Three Strap Sandal is the iteration that gets the most love from my customers. This sandal is adjustable from 3 straps over the instep and top of foot as well as one strap around the heel. The insole is removable. When the insole is removed it leaves a recessed area that is ideal for orthotics. There is nothing else quite like it.
Quality at a reasonable price
The Babett styles all feature the same amazing footbed and lightweight PU outsole. This footbed is shock absorbing but is not bulky. Women love the soft leather and nubuck uppers that are featured on the Ecco Babett shoes and sandals. The Babett styles are all in the $120 price range which is quite reasonable for a quality European style. Especially one that is so comfortable and versatile.
Fit
The true reason that the Ecco Babett is an easy sale is the fit and feel. This style fits so many foot types with ease. The Babett fits wide and narrow feet alike. This is hard to believe but it has a comfortable cut which features a narrow heel with a wide toe box area. The narrow heel holds the foot in place while the wide toe box area allows wide and narrow feet to be comfortable.
